Come aboard a 1940 vintage AT-6 advanced trainer and learn about the pioneers of the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP) the first women in history trained to fly American military aircraft. Students will learn about the role of the Army Air Forces in WWII and the contributions of pilots such as Bernice "Bee" Falk Haydu and Julia Ledbetter. Students will be introduced to flight and navigation operations. They will experiment with flight concepts by making paper airplanes.
