Lewis & Clark Program

Join the CORPS of Discovery

By bringing the Lewis & Clark expedition into your classroom you can give your students the opportunity to be a part of the Corps of Discovery. This 50 minute program designed for grades 3-12 includes:

-a biographical sketch of Sergeant Gass
-map orientation
-discussion of the expedition’s purpose
-presentation of life on the trail
-a classroom activity
 
Children learn about Lewis & Clark

Interpret the Epic Journey

Children learn about Lewis & Clark   Follow along with Sergeant Gass as you retrace the journey. Enjoy the hands on experience with artifacts such as bear grease, compass & sexton, pelts & furs, period uniforms and writing tools.

This program is designed for presentation in your classroom. It can also be presented in a larger forum such as a cafeteria or auditorium. This program can be presented at the museum combined with a group tour.
